1. Introduction ATC-E01 Easy 

ATC-E01 Easy is a product designed by AT-COM to provide users with integrated facilities that are interconnected into a network through ATCBus.

The board is powered by the Quectel MC60-E01 module, which features GSM, GPRS, GNSS, Bluetooth 3.0. All are integrated in one module. The module also includes an OpenMCU feature for users to develop.

The MC60 is the latest 2G series, which delivers optimum performance in SMS, data and voice communications even in harsh environments. The ATC-E01-MC60 is full of features to provide you with ideas for wireless-based applications.

2. Product Specifications

  • Module MC60 Quectel:

+ GSM/ GPRS: Supports 850/900/1800/1900 MHz band.

+ Bluetooth: Standard 3.0, allowing data transmission up to 24Mbps

+ GNSS: GPS (up to 33 satellites supported)/ Glonass (up to 24 satellites supported).

+ Open CPU: Allows programming of applications directly on the MC60 without external microcontroller.

  • Module ATCE-01

Bluetooth Antenna: The IPX antenna and antenna on the board.

+ GSM Antenna: IPX Antenna Pad and SMA-RAF15.

+ GNSS Antenna: IPX Antenna Pad and SMA-RAF15.

+ Simcard and SD-Card: Integrated on one connector

+ Audio: Jack Audio 3.5

+ Source: MAX 5VDC power supply.

+ Push button: use MC60 ON / OFF.

+ 2 LEDs: power status indication (led power), and GSM/ GPRS signal status (led netlight).

 3. Features of the ATC-E01 MC60

Quectel integrates modern 2G technologies into its MC60-E01 with features such as GSM, GPRS, GNSS and Russian and US satellite systems, Bluetooth 3.0.

Cost saving for developers, Quectel has put OpenMCU technology into the module. Developers work on internal MCUs without using external processors.

     b. Supply

Power supply for ATC-E01-MC60 Easy via ATCBus at 5V and GND. It will then pass the source IC conversion to 4.0V supply to the MC60 module. This ensures a response up to 1.6Ampe and a drop in voltage when the load does not exceed 400mV.

      c. Select the communication voltage

To accommodate the level of external devices when communicating with the ATC-E01 module, the board has a custom designed user interface with a 3.3V/ 5V logic voltage rating for application. When manufacturing, the voltage rating will be used at the 3.3V logic level.

How to change the communication voltage:

  • Remove the 0R resistor (size 0805) in the unwanted position (face is at 3.3V).
  • Resist the 0R resistor (size 0805) to the desired position of 3.3V or 5V.

         d. Audio port and MIC

The product supports connectivity to the microphone via the 3.5mm jack to help users monitor and monitor the sound around the device.

With design of ATC-E01-MC60 integrated INPAQ antenna chip for Bluetooth and support 2 connect Antenna for GPS and GNSS. GNSS also has a circuit for Antenna Active. In addition, each antenna has an IPX layout for the user.

    f. LED display

+ LED Power allows to display power status.

+ LED shows NET status of GSM network connection.

2 ways to power on/ off module MC60:

  • Option 1: Press the ON/ OFF button and keep it for about 2 seconds, designed on the circuit.
  • Method 2: Provide a high-level pulse to the PWR pin of the ATCBus Socket, the MC60 module will be powered on. When PWR pins are clicked, a few seconds later, the NetLight LED will blink and the MC60 module starts scanning the network, checking the SIMCARD ...
